This presentation will evaluate the relationship between gut, hormones, and autoimmune conditions. Dr. Berkson will discuss immune response to invaders and examples of common insults. She will describe the anatomy of the gut and role of leaky gut in autoimmune development and provide insight into the possible role of gluten, LPS, and hypochlorhydria that might be at play in the development of autoimmune conditions.
