Radha is passionate about working with patients who have a variety of GI disorders such as reflux, IBD, IBS and other autoimmune disorders. She will discuss how she built her functional medicine practice, while still keeping her traditional medical practice. Autoimmune diseases and digestive-related problems (Crohn’s disease, Celiac disease, ulcerative colitis and IBS) can be very debilitating and can take over a person’s life. Patients are increasingly unsatisfied with drug therapy alone. In fact, almost 50% of these patients turn to complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) therapies, with nutraceuticals being the most common form of CAM therapy. In this session, Radha will share her multidisciplinary approach to treatment, emphasizing education, reassurance, dietary modification and stress management.
