Dr. Riggs is a veterinary who specializes in birds and exotic animal species. Additionally he consults for wildlife facilities and participates in local conservation projects. During this presentation, he will describe how compounding is essential to exotic veterinary practice. He will share case studies of various species he has treated with compounded preparations including compounding opportunities for exotic animal cancer therapy and exotic animal cardiac cases. He will discuss species such as primates, reptiles, aquatics, rabbits and other pocket pets. One of his favorite compounds he will discuss is poloxamer and all the unique opportunities he has had to help treat his patients.
